The part he doesn’t get to see

The part he doesn’t get to see

The part he doesn’t get to see

Coverage starts four hours before the ceremony. Someone is steaming a dress, your mom is trying not to start crying this early, and your sister says the thing she has been saving up. He is not in this room and never will be. Couples tell us this is the footage they rewatch most.

Where we are

Mycheal is in the room with you. David is with him, wherever he is getting ready. Two of us means neither morning gets missed.

2:30 PM

The first look

The first look

The first look

We do not stage this and we will not ask you to walk it back for a second take. We stand well back on a long lens and let it happen, because the version where you are thinking about the camera is not worth keeping.

Where we are

Two angles, both on prime lenses. One on his face, one on yours. Neither of us in your eyeline.

4:00 PM

The vows, with a mic on them

The vows, with a mic on them

The vows, listen again forever.

You spend weeks writing these. In most wedding videos they end up as background noise under a song. A year from now you'll want to hear what you actually said.

Where we are

A mic on him, a mic on the officiant, a recorder on anyone doing a reading. Wide on the aisle, tight on faces.

4:40 PM

Married, and straight back down the aisle

Married, and straight back down the aisle

Married, and straight back down the aisle

About forty seconds long and the loudest you will be all day. This is the clip that goes out to everyone you could not fit in the room. Your ceremony has a guest limit, but your wedding film doesn't.

Where we are

One of us walking backwards ahead of you. The other holding on the room, because half the shot is the people watching you.

5:30 PM

Twenty minutes that are only yours

Twenty minutes that are only yours

Twenty minutes that are only yours

The one stretch of the day with nobody else in it. Most couples try to give it back so they can return to their guests. Take it. This is where the drone goes up and where the frames you end up hanging come from.

Where we are

FAA-licensed drone in the air if the venue allows it. If not, we stay on the ground and out of your way.

7:00 PM

The toasts

The toasts

The toasts

Someone is going to say something about you that you would never otherwise hear, and half the room will miss it over the music and the plates. Now you can play it back whenever you want.

Where we are

Mic on whoever is speaking, and one of us stays on your face. The reaction is usually the shot.

8:45 PM

The last song

The last song

The last song

If the party is still rolling, so is the camera. These are the fun moments you might've otherwise never seen at all.

Where we are

Standard coverage runs 8 hours. If you need more time then that, just let us know during our consultation.

A hilltop ceremony

Featured Film

A hilltop ceremony, a confetti exit

And a first look neither of them got through dry-eyed.

Hillside estate wedding

A summer wedding on a hillside estate

The vows, on a mic, and the walk back down the aisle.

Church ceremony and ballroom reception

A hotel morning and a ballroom ceremony

Getting ready upstairs, vows under the flowers, and a first dance.

A couple dancing on a hillside at sunset

A summer wedding at a historic estate

Morning light by the window, and a slow dance at sunset.

Every film here plays at full quality. If one takes a second to start, that’s why.

How These Were Made

Why it looks like a film and not a video.

Lenses

Cinema primes, not zooms

Each lens is built for one focal length. That is where the depth and the softness in these films come from.

Sound

A mic on everyone who speaks

Him, the officiant, every toast. The words in these trailers are the real ones, not a song laid over them.

Two of us

Two angles on every moment

One on your face, one on the room. Neither of us in your eyeline, and nothing restaged.

“David went above and beyond creating an everlasting moment and experience from set up of the proposal, through the shoot, and finally the production.

His communication was very clear and thorough through the whole process. We are so pleased with the time and work he put in and we cannot wait to share this memory forever with family and friends now and in the future.

Thank you David!”

Levi & Nicole

★★★★★

“I couldn’t envision anyone more perfect to work with for my wife’s and I special day. David was incredible to work with and started out having a meeting with us asking about our vision for the wedding, details about the venue, arrival schedules, everything. Him and his wife make a intangible pairing, being able to capture all aspects of our wedding with drone shots, videography and photography. We will be definitely hiring him again when future life endeavors arrive.”

David and Mycheal with a couple on their wedding day

The Two People Filming It

Every one of these was filmed by the two of us.

We’re David and Mycheal. Married, based in North Carolina, and we film weddings together. We’ve had our own day run away from us, so we know which parts you’ll want back, and which ones you’d never know happened unless somebody was standing there to capture it.

We’re not going to pull you aside to cry by a better wall or hold up the ceremony to get a different angle. We believe your videographer should be the best behaved guest at your wedding. We’re the two at the back of the room, smiling, staying out of it, catching the thing that just happened behind you.
